i gotta try this. just went through a long ass process of the x-clamp fix to solve my 0102 error. didnt work, so i threw it in the oven. that worked, gave me 2 red lights instead (guess it didnt work). let it cool, reassembled xbox, gave me 3 red lights; error code 0110. so at least im making progress!

tighten down your heatsincs evenly. I hope you replaced both xclamps. Sounds like you overheated your cpu in the oven. Good luck. Don’t catch your house on fire.

ok i have one of the 360s like yours and one that is the newer model… they both have the same “0110″ error code on them. I did the X-Clamp fix on Each of them… Will this method Temp. Fix Both of them???

I can’t guarantee it, but it should if your only problem left is a 0110. Like I said in the video I had the xclamp for about a year before this error happened for me. The blowtorch was just out of all desperation. I was about to go to the store and buy another xbox 360. This same 1st gen 360 is still kicking today even with all the new games.

LOL, don’t act surprised. The trick works if you don’t burn down you place in the process.

no the towel trick is deiffrent,if u open ur xbox u will see som thermal goo on the graphix chip, that keeps the graphix chip cool but when you use the towel trick it melts the goo away, this blowtorch method only heats the heat sink causing no effect to the graphics chip

Hey you when your heating it, you shouldn’t tilt the mohterboard, you also want it in one position, because when you heat it up at a tilt you are getting the solder hot and then it will move because you have your board at a slant, so just keep it in the flat position…..

Good point. I don’t suggest tilting, but typically solder flows to where it is hotter even against gravity. So it might not matter and obviously didn’t matter in the video because I am still playing my 360.

I tilted cause my torch was out of fuel and kept going out.
