i had my pro sence 2007 no problms till 2 weeks ago it started oerheating abnormaly its always face up and cooling is always there but one day it got the 3 rings of death so i just baught a new 360
just bought 360 elite in late april and was assured if manufactured after oct of 08 it would not get the rrod!! after only 2 months with VERY little play it got the rrod! because i didnt buy the xtended warrentee i am forced to send it in to xbox! at least if i would have bought it at walmart i could have exchanged it up to a yr….but i bought it at best buy!! my mistake!!

or….if it over heats stick the WHOLE, yes whole xbox in a big plastic bag and stick it in the freezer for about 10-15 mins…but it must be on its side or upside down with no CD in it, same way to temporairly fix a fried computer HDD to get ur data.
