Fixing a Broken Xbox 360 Video Blog

This is a quick video blog detailing how to fix a seemingly broken Xbox 360. I don’t know how it works, but it does, and it saved my Xbox 360. It may seem like it’s fake, but trust me, this is not a joke. This really works. Check out my thoughts on games and issues surrounding the gaming industry at www.themindofgame.com

To anyone curious why this works: the RRoD is caused by warping of the printed circuit board causing the contacts of the GPU to separate from the board. Wrapping your 360 in towels and turning it on heats it up to the point that it can re-melt the solder on those connections so it makes contact again, but you’ve exposed it to even more heat in the meantime. This isn’t a good idea unless you’re desperate to play *right now,* as you’ll need to send it in for repairs eventually anyway.
