I bought an Xbox 360 from ebay and was trying to fix it. When i received it the error code was 0020, after i did the penny fix it gave me error code 0031. I am not sure what else to do. If you have fixed these error codes before please let me know how to fix it! Also i forgot to add that the fans turn on for about 1 second when the system turns on then they stay off. Dude….you gotta do the xclamp fix….google it or look it up on here youtube…i did the same thing like you…I bought an elite and fixed with the xclamp fix……
I think aluminum over both the gpu and cpu’s don’t do shit…..take them off.. another problem could be too much thermal paste……but I actually think the videos you saw weren’t clear …..after you put the washers you should overheat the xbox without the fan before you run the xbox normally….let overheat for 20 min…and let it cool for…20 min…it worked for me
