Xbox 360 2 Red Light Fix

A Free fix for Xbox 360 when 2 Flashing lights pop up. Microsoft says Xbox is overheating and asks for dollars and to send it in for repair. The method I have proposed is a simple (free) fix that seems to work wonders and saves the money. Simply use an air compressor to clean the Xbox of all of it internal dust that blocks air intake without even opening the Xbox. Now obviously if you don’t have access to an air compressor you’ll need to improvise because air compressors in general are …

I was considering doing just that but from what i’ve read the cooling system can make things worse.

I don’t know what kind of air compressor you used but I’ve never heard of an air compressor spraying out liquid as I would not recommend anyone spray liquid into there xbox.

The reason I have gotten so many views is I have addressed a common problem (sadly) and made a solution that actually works for a lot people.

No to this date the xbox still works great! I assume that if it would show 2 red lights again I would simply repeat the process but it took years for the xbox to accumulate all that dust so I assume it will be another couple years until I have to repeat the procedure.

Right on!!! Thanks for posting your idea. I had the same problem and haven’t been able to play for a couple of months. I saw your vid. and now my xbox 360 is up and running like new. I wouldn’t recomend using an air compressor because of the dirty air it puts out. Instead use a can of compressed air you would get at a store. A lot cleaner!! Thanks again.

I have a can of compressed air, will that work? Because I have been getting the two red rings when I play certain games and I think dust might be the problem.
