I had the same thing towel trick worked then didn’t work anymore. Don’t get a new 360. buy some Artic Silver thermal paste and use in on the cooling system, simply type in thermal past RROD fix and there will be a a guide, you will also need a special screwdriver i think T-90x but a guide will tell you.

PS3 and Xbox 360 have better or worse problems or features. STFU and dont argue about which is better or worse. It bugs the fuck out of me and lots of people.
