UPDATE! People keep asking “Why don’t you just use one of those DVD player lens cleaner disks with the brush?” Well. BECAUSE… the vibration they cause to the laser will knock them around and kill your drive and they are also not recommended by Microsuck. So it is safer to repair your drive this way if compressed air will not get all the dust off from the open drive tray.
