Yeah My xbox 360 got the red rings and i dont feel like paying micorsoft to get it fix. this is a very old xbox so i can care less. the xbox was made in 2006 so i wasnt surprise when it got the red rings. Hope this trick works for you people that had the red rings of death.. Enjoy. :) Update as of 2-10-11 I have done this towel trick or blanket tirck what ever you want to call it for some time now. this is a good way to keep your xbox alive if you can not buy a xbox right away. i have done this method 7 times already. this last about a week then after i get the red rings again i would have to redo the process like shown in this video. the process last about 40 minutes depending how fast you cool down your xbox.
